1.12.2 is a minor update for Java Edition that was released on September 18, 2017, which fixes bugs. It is not compatible with 1.12 and 1.12.1 servers. This is the first version of Java Edition (originally just called Minecraft); to display the new official title, Minecraft: Java Edition. This is also the final release version released in 2017.
