1.20.5, the release of Armored Paws, is a game drop for Java Edition released on April 23, 2024. It adds armadillos, wolf armor, new wolf variants, redoes how items store data, along with fixing many bugs. Additionally, it updates the Update 1.21 Experiment, including the addition of the bogged, the vault, breeze rods, wind charges, the mace, and ominous events. This is the first version released in 2024 and the first version of Java Edition to require a 64-bit operating system and Java 21 or above.
